Bible Writing: My Essentials

Bible Writing My Essentials.jpgBible Writing is one of my favorite ways to go deeper into the Bible. But sometimes I get asked what I use to write, and what kind of journal I prefer. If you’re in the market to buy a new journal or writing tools, you’ve come to the right place!

This discipline can easily get out of hand, especially for those who are more creative and artistic. Trust me, I totally understand that temptation! But sometimes, the simplest form is the best. All you really need is a notebook/journal, pens, and color.Β

Journal – Moleskine (where to buy)

My go to journal is the Moleskine Squared. I actually use the same journal as my bullet journal. I love how I can keep everything in one journal, instead of having separate journals for everything! The journal opens flat, and the squares are not that noticeable. The squares also help me when I draw, when the desire arises.

Pens – Sharpie pens (where to buy)

God bless whoever invented the fine point Sharpie pen! These pens will not bleed through the Moleskine pages, and are so easy to write with.

Coloring – Crayola Twistables Colored Pencils (where to buy)

I bought my first set many years ago, and they are still in use today! I use them for highlighting in my Bible, but also to draw and color in my journal. You don’t need to sharpen these. And although they look like crayons, they still color and blend like colored pencils. Get a basic set of 30 and you’ll have enough colors to go around!
